The NFC North will be on display on Sunday afternoon, allowing NFL bettors to get another chance to boost their bankroll when the Chicago Bears (5-4, 4-4-1 ATS) do battle with their rivals, the Green Bay Packers (4-5, 6-3 ATS) at Lambeau Field. This will be the first of two meetings this season between these traditional rivals...

Last year, the Bears swept the Packers, winning 35-7 at home, and 27-20 in Green Bay. Chicago has won six of the L/8 meetings with the Pack, and is 5-2-1 ATS during that span.
The Bears ran into the buzz saw otherwise known as the Tennessee Titans last weekend. They gave the Titans a run for their money though as three-point underdogs. QB Rex Grossman went 20-of-37 for 173 yards, two total touchdowns, and one pick in relief of Kyle Orton. RB Matt Forte had another strong game, racking up 126 total yards and a touchdown. The rookie now has 995 total yards and seven total scores on the year.
The most alarming stat of the game was that the Bears defense held the Titans, one of the best rushing teams in the NFL, to just 20 rushing yards. It wasn’t enough for Bears bettors though, as Chicago still lost the game 21-14. It’s still unknown whether Orton will return to the lineup or not this season, but in his starts this season, the Bears have scored at least 17 points in every game.
A 52-yard field goal attempt from Mason Crosby went narrowly wide at the gun, causing the Packers to lose 28-27 at the HHH Metrodome. Giving up two safeties and 192 yards to Adrian Peterson wasn’t enough to keep Packers bettors from cashing a winning ticket though, as they stayed within the 2.5-point spread.
QB Aaron Rodgers had a shaky start, only completing 15-of-26 passes for 142 yards, and was sacked five times. Green Bay only mustered 184 yards of total offense. The defense and special teams stood tall though. Nick Collins, Tramon Williams, and Charles Woodson all recorded an interception, and Will Blackmon returned a punt 65 yards for a touchdown. It was the fourth straight victory against the college football betting line for the Pack after dropping three straight decisions earlier in the season. The one-point loss was the third game in the L/5 that resulted in a loss by three or fewer points for Green Bay.
The hosts have been installed as 4-point favorites, while the ‘total’ has been set at 45. The NFL betting trends all point towards the ‘over’ for these two teams. In their L/36 games, the Bears have gone 26-9-1 towards the ‘over’, while the L/27 Green Bay games have resulted in a 20-6-1 record for ‘over’ bettors. History is on the side of the ‘over’ in this rivalry as well. Nine of the L/13 games between these squads have eclipsed the ‘total’ at Lambeau Field.
