Another matchup features a Battle of the Carolinas, as the North Carolina State Wolfpack takes on the South Carolina Gamecocks (8 pm ET, ESPN). betED Sportsbook has the Gamecocks as a 14½-point, -750 moneyline favorite and the total at 44.

Also Thursday, the Vanderbilt Commodores visit the Miami Ohio Redhawks (7:30 pm ET, ESPN), with the Redhawks a 3½-point, -175 moneyline favorite. The over/under is 40½.

On Friday night, the Southern Methodist Mustangs visit the Rice Owls (8 pm ET, ABC). The Owls are 3½-point favorites and the over/under is 69½.

A full slate of games Saturday features all the top-ranked College Football teams in the nation, including the USC Trojans opening the season on the road against the Virginia Cavaliers (3:30 pm ET, ABC). The Trojans are a 19-point favorite and the total is 43.

The Clemson Tigers are 4½-point favorites against the Alabama Crimson Tide in a neutral site game at the Georgia Dome (8 pm ET, ABC), and the Michigan State Spartans visit the California Golden Bears, with California a 4½-point favorite.

A Pac-10 matchup has the Washington Huskies at the Oregon Ducks (10 pm ET, FSN). The Ducks are a 13½-point favorite and the total is 62½.

The biggest spread in Week 1 has the Kansas Jayhawks as 35½-point favorites over the Florida International Golden Panthers.
